Our family lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I grew up in a small town outside of New Orleans called Slidell. I went to Pope John Paul High School and then moved to Baton Rouge to attend college at LSU. Alton grew up in a town outside of Baton Rouge called Denham Springs. He attended Denham Springs High and then went to serve 9 years in the Navy. After completing his service, he returned to Baton Rouge to pursue his career in Network Administration. We both came to work at the same company in 1993. That is where our life together started and we have been married for 8 years. We have a 6 year old son named Hudson. He is our only child and it shows. He has our undivided attention which is not always a good thing.

Hudson is also the only grandchild for my parents who live in Lafayette, Louisiana. As you can imagine, he is quite spoiled. My brothers also dote on Hudson as they have no children of their own. Stan and Sandy have moved back to Slidell after the hurricane and bought a new home. Stan is also working back in New Orleans. They do have “children” of their own...in a way. They have four handsome dachshunds named Catella, Adonis, Anubis and Izzy. They are quite the characters! Owen lives in Phoenix and is pursuing a career in the Animal Sciences. He will be the person that will one day inundate Hudson with all of his knowledge about sports. Hudson also has two aunts from Alton’s Family. Roxy lives in Denham Springs and has the best sense of humor an aunt could have. His other aunt, Debi, lives in Hawaii and is a nurse. Alton’s mom lives in Denham Springs and with her husband, Gene, is very involved in Eastern Star.

We have a lot of our family around us, so we are close enough to be involved with each other. We spend the holidays together and someone is always coming over to see Hudson. You can see some of these great family photos on our Family Photos link.
